Kiddush after Shabbat morning services is sponsored by the Shul.

Megillah: 7:30pm (to give everyone time to prepare for Purim after Shabbat ends)
Mishloach Manot baskets will be available for pickup after Megillah for those participating

Sunday, March 12
Shacharit & Megillah: 8:00 am (daylight savings time)
Additional Megillah readings at Westville Shul: 4:00pm (one traditional reading and one women’s reading)
Greater New Haven Communal Purim Seudah: 5:15pm, held in the Westville Shul social hall (for those who have pre-registered). If you are interested in helping with setup, serving, and cleanup, please contact Sharon Naveh or Ruth Gross
Mincha & Maariv: 6:30pm (we will break from the seudah for davening)

Wednesday, March 15th, 7:30pm – Steve Ginsburg from the Connecticut Anti-Defamation League will speak on: “BDS – What Can We Do To Stop It.”

Wednesday, April 5th, 7:30pm – Prof Ellie Stern, Yale University will speak on “Jewish Materialism and the Politics of Economic Equality.”


Services and Zmanim

Beginning Monday, March 13:  We will resume daily Mincha/Maariv services, to be held at the Westville Synagogue.  Next week they will be held at 6:30 PM.  They will begin at a slightly later time for the first few weeks, until we remain at 7 PM throughout the summer.  Watch the weekly WINE or check the website for updated times. Please help us make a minyan every day!


In the Community

The Annual meeting of the Westville Synagogue will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 7:30 PM in our social hall. The meeting will include the election of officers and board members followed by installation by Rabbi Fred Hyman, as well as committee reports and new business.

The next Gala planning committee meeting will take place on March 21. Please contact Betsy or Glenn Schulman for more information.
